Arriving from El Paso

The El Paso Airport is currently under construction, although the level of confusion has been much reduced lately. If you rent a car at the airport, exit the Airport using Airway, going south. This is the main exit from the airport, thus it won't be any trouble to find this outlet.

Travel south on Airway until you intersect I-10. Turn right (west) onto the frontage road that runs directly adjacent to the interstate and move into the left lane. Enter the freeway at any of the next several on-ramps.

Continue west/northwest on I-10 for 45 miles to Las Cruces. Just prior to entering Las Cruces, I-10 will split into I-10 west and I-25 north. You want to stay on I-10, going towards Tucson.

Exit I-10 at Exit 142, Main Street. Continue in a straight line on Valley Drive, passing through the next traffic light, Main Street. After you have crossed Main, the Holiday Inn Express will be on your left, just a few blocks down.

Arriving from the Las Cruces Airport

If you rent a car at the Las Cruces Airport, exit the airport on the only main road available to you, going south, towards the interstate highway. Cross over the bridge and turn left, onto I-10, and drive the 13 miles into Las Cruces, going east towards the mountains.

Exit I-10 at Exit 142, Main Street. Turn right at the traffic light that terminates the exit ramp, onto Main Street. Turn left at the second traffic light, onto Valley Drive. The Holiday Inn Express will be on your left, just a few blocks down.

AICS Research, Inc.

The map below outlines the best route from the Holdiay Inn Express to AICS Research. Once you leave the Holiday Inn Express's parking lot, turn right and proceed to the first stop light, which will be Main Street.

Turn left onto Main and follow it for some distance to the downtown area. Downtown Las Cruces has been made into a mall, with Main Street blocked off. The downtown area is now encircled by a loop. Bisecting this loop is Las Cruces Avenue. Turn left onto Las Cruces, going west, away from the mountains. After the second stop light, you will enter an older part of town, called the Alameda-Depot Historical District.

Continue on towards the train station, past Pioneer Women's Park on the right. AICS Research is on the next block, on the righthand side of the street. We work out of the last two buildings on the 600 block. These two buildings will eventually be joined, but at the moment they're separate.

The training room is in the farthest building, a small, 75 year-old adobe (mud-and-straw) house that is currently undergoing renovation, at the corner of Las Cruces and Melendres. There are no signs on any building, but please feel free to walk into the room with oak door.

Parking on the street, in front of the buildings, is perfectly legal.
